We had a plan. We've done this several times before. Wash off the old and welcome the new by taking a frigid New Year dip in the sea. Off we went, towels and cameras in hand. Blue sky. Snow on the ground. Tide coming in. Stopped by the Internet to see the weather beforehand: 13 degrees with a steady wind making it -9 with windchill. Determined. Stopped for some photos along the way. Common sense ruled the moment. Plans change. Adjust. Laugh. 
In some cultures having cleansed feet is a sign of great respect and honor. Today, I adopt that tradition. Be flexible. We run into the house to get warm.May 2009 be a year of goal setting, determination, awareness, and flexibility!
